Remus Volstead Reserve Straight Bourbon Whiskey is bottled-in-bond from 2005, 14-year aged bourbons crafted at MGP’s historic distillery in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. Volstead Reserve has rich aromas of dried candied fruit, caramelized pecans, oak, char and tobacco. The name commemorates the 100th year anniversary of the start of Prohibition under the Volstead Act. Robust and rich oak flavors dominate the forward palate and body; balanced cherry and caramel touches complement the oak in the body and intensify in the bourbon’s finish. Pleasant notes of leather and spice round out the finish, and oak and barrel char notes linger until the next sip. This limited Bourbon will never be repeated. No more than 500 9-liter cases will be available for markets where George Remus Bourbon is currently sold. (SRP: $199.99/750ML). G. Remus Distilling Co., Lawrenceburg, IN, 50% ALC/VOL.
We’re also pleased to debut the next edition of Remus Repeal Reserve Series III, an annual limited release that allows the distillery team to experiment with a different bourbon medley each year. Series III will release November 13, the birthdate of George Remus, and will reach full distribution by Prohibition Repeal Day, December 5. Remus Repeal Reserve Series III showcases a medley of two mash bills from 2007/2008; the complex aroma reveals maple with caramel, candied fruit, chocolate, baking spice, smoke and leather with a balanced palate of caramelized brown spice and a hint of rye on the finish.
