2 ounces rye or bourbon whiskey
1 ounce sweet/Italian/red vermouth
2 or more dashes Angostura bitters
1 Maraschino cherry (garnish)
Stir all ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail (Martini) glass. Garnish with cherry.
