Muddle 2 slices orange with skin                                  

Dash simple syrup                                                

1 ¾  oz Damrak and Dimmi                                            

¾ oz fresh grapefruit                                                        

dash of branded cherry juice                              

shake, serve up, cherry garnish

Mount Gay Silver Lining

 

What better way to celebrate a new political regime in tough economic times with a silver lining cocktail paired with Barack Obama’s Family Chile Recipe (see attached document).  Chile is a hearty meal, so your cocktail pairing should be the opposite – simple, light in flavor, tall and refreshing.  The Mount Gay Silver Lining is the perfect cocktail to pair with Barack Obama’s Family Chile recipe, also superb for Super Bowl Parties!  

1 ½ oz. Mount Gay Eclipse Silver Rum
¾ oz. St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur
1 oz. Red Grapefruit Juice
Top with tonic water

In cocktail shaker, add all ingredients except tonic water.
Add ice and shake and strain over fresh ice into a highball glass.
Top with tonic water and garnish with slice of grapefruit.
